Growing up between the metropolitan area of Washington, D.C. and the Bronx, NY,
Malika Bellamy was always a city girl at heart with a passion for connecting and sharing
stories. With the natural gift of gab, she’s an organic communicator that builds
engaging, fun, and meaningful relationships with care and substance.
To hone this gift, she hung up her dancing shoes, and set off to earn her Bachelor’s of
Arts degree in Communications and Public Relations at the illustrious Clark Atlanta
University in Atlanta, GA. Experiencing so many new people from vast cultural
backgrounds and exploring a new environment, caused her love for the arts and beauty
to soar to new heights.
In her 15+ year career, which spans governmental policy work, project management
and strategy, she soon found herself in a space where desired more – and was eager to
reconnect more deeply to her life’s foundation of art, beauty and fashion. And what
better place to realize this new career journey than her other home, New York City. Just
days after marrying, she and her new partner took the risky leap and started anew in the
Big Apple.
Since shifting gears in New York city, Malika has had the joy and privilege of lending her
communications and marketing expertise to brands like Estee Lauder, Moet Hennessy
and a number of other luxury brands and small business.
With a progressive and pragmatic approach, she continues to collaborate with luxury
and consumer goods brands to ensure the execution and proactive management of PR,
communications and media plans, guiding project flow, procurement & distribution, and
creative strategy. Additionally, she continues to shepherd the development of evocative
marketing activities, including local and regional events, diversity and inclusion
activations, and an array of consumer engagement initiatives.
